Styling Split Hem Pants

I turned 23 on Nov. 26 and I was really excited to put together another look for my birthday. I loved this outfit because it incorporated so many of my favorite pieces; from the shoes to the pants, my turtleneck, my bag, and my rings… I absolutely loved how this came together.

I was on a hunt for these types of pants and once I found them it was over. I love the way the split hem drapes over shoes and helps give any footwear a little peek from the side. That’s exactly why I couldn’t wear just any shoe with these. I wanted something more interesting to look at than a solid colored heel, to show off the pant and shoe equally when I walk.

First of all, can we talk about this sweater? Do we all see how it drapes? This sweater looks best when you tuck it into the front of the pants. When styled like that it can do no wrong.

Detail shots are important. Let’s take a closer look below…

My matte black Fleming purse was an instant fave. These flat brow sunglasses can elevate any look. The rings were a last minute cop at $6 each from Alex and Ani (marine collection). They were the last ones they had, one is a shark tooth, the other is a fish. These weren’t worn to be statement rings, just something cute to throw on.

This was easily one of my favorite outfits and I can’t wait to style each of these pieces differently.
